Ankita Singh is a writer, documentary director and award-winning theatre producer raised between Chandigarh and Kirikiriroa. She can trace her ancestry to the Himalayan hill station of Ranikhet, Aligarh and pre-partition Lahore in Punjab.
After completing her Master's in Screenwriting from AUT University, Ankita won the 2021 Piki Pitch and is currently developing an animated series with the celebrated company.
Ankita's half-hour action comedy GIVE ME BABIES has recently swept up four nominations at the NZTV Awards.
She debuted as a playwright with her neo-noir action-comedy play 'BASMATI BITCH', making history as the first South Asian female playwright to be commissioned in Aotearoa. Auckland Theatre Company, Aotearoa's largest theatre company.
Ankita has always been passionate about games and is excited to leap into the world of narrative design with HINE.
